FREE NB Driving Practice Test 2025

  • Based on official New Brunswick 2025 Driver's manual
  • Updated for September 2025
  • Perfect for learner’s permit and full adult driver’s licence
  • Triple-checked for accuracy

In New Brunswick, aspiring drivers must complete the Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) program to obtain a driver’s licence. The initial step is the Class 7 licence, which is divided into two levels. Anyone aged 16 or older can obtain a Class 7 Level 1 licence, although those under 18 need to provide parental consent. You must pass a vision test and a multiple-choice written knowledge test covering road signs, traffic laws, and other aspects of driving theory. All questions are based on the official New Brunswick Driver’s Handbook, a guide to learning safe driving skills.

After practising driving with a Class 7 Level 1 licence for 12 months (8 months if you complete an approved driver education program), you can schedule and take the road test. If you pass, you advance to the Class 7 Level 2 licence, which lets you drive unsupervised but with several limitations. We’ll help you pass the official written knowledge test on your first attempt, but you must dedicate the time and effort necessary to master driving theory. Our New Brunswick Driving Practice Tests can help you master this subject through active learning. We have designed each practice test to closely reflect the content and format of the official exam, giving you an idea of what to expect on exam day.

All questions have multiple answer choices, but only one is correct. Please avoid rushing through the practice test, as this often leads to avoidable mistakes. We have omitted any timer from this tool so you can study at your own pace. Keep track of your scores, and notice your performance improve as your knowledge naturally increases.

Mistakes are common among beginners, and you shouldn’t let them discourage you. We give you the opportunity to learn from them as soon as they occur by providing immediate feedback. Pay attention to the detailed explanation, as it helps you understand the reasoning behind each correct answer. Keep persevering and practise daily to build the knowledge and confidence necessary to pass the official written knowledge exam.
